Do you know who we'll be cheering for this weekend?

It's not a secret anymore!

I LOVE this time of year when football is on all day on Saturdays and Sundays.  I LOVE being able to cheer for my team. I LOVE teaching my kids the LSU Tiger fight song, like it was brainwashed taught to me as a child.

If you follow football news at all, specifically SEC football, then you know that LSU was ranked #4 in pre-season, giving its fans pretty high (irrational and frenzied!) hopes for the season. However, due to a drunken bar brawl incident, starting quarterback Jordan Jefferson was suspended from the team.  Oh, the chatter that has been occurring. The speculation! The football drama! Will LSU be good this year now that a starting player is gone??!!

I just want to say, since of course my SEC football opinion is pretty darned important (Hey! I've got the smocked outfits to prove it!), that I for one am glad that Jefferson got the boot.

Children Children everywhere! Listen and learn!

The choices and decisions you make when you are young will effect the course of your entire life. It might even mean that you lose out on a life-long dream.

Yes, one drunken bar brawl, one cheat, one one-night stand, one experiment, one wrong turn and your life could alter its course.

Our loving God is full of grace, mercy and forgiveness for you as you repent. But the consequences might remain for life.

Hard lessons, friends. Hard lessons.
